Why are diagnostics so important? When a vehicle arrives to our shop with a check engine light on, the first thing we do is diagnostic testing. A standard OBD-II code reader (often used at parts shops) will only reveal the basic cause of the problem. To get to the root of the problem, you need an advanced scanner. The scanners we use at both of our locations gather more advanced readings on certain functions to give you access to multiple systems and components in your vehicle to pinpoint the cause.
