Summer is in full swing at Lee Myles Auto Care & Transmissions, and we are thrilled to embark on a journey of nostalgia and automotive excellence. With exciting happenings at both our Birdsboro and Reading locations, we are ready to share some remarkable stories and celebrate our passion for cars and customer satisfaction. Join us as we dive into the fascinating world of unique vehicles, engine triumphs, and a summer filled with 90s-themed memories.
A Unique Gem from Japan: The 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser
At our Birdsboro location, we were delighted to work on a true automotive gem owned by Patrick Fetich. The 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser is a rare find, with its right-hand drive and a powerful turbo diesel engine from a small bus. Patrick originally purchased the car while living in Japan, and after importing it to the United States, he has kept every detail intact, right down to the Japanese writing on the OEM placards. The Land Cruiser proudly displays its last oil change sticker from Japan, a testament to Patrick’s dedication to preserving its history. It’s not every day that we get to work on such a cool and immaculate little truck.
Engine Troubles and a Test of Endurance: The 2007 Ford F250
Over at our Birdsboro location, we had Jake and Lee tackle a challenging task with a 2007 Ford F250. The truck was equipped with a 3 Valve 5.4L Triton engine that had undergone a replacement about three years ago with a new Jasper unit. However, the engine encountered a problem where the passenger side cylinder head was not receiving enough engine oil, leading to its failure. Thankfully, the unit was still under warranty. Completing this job demanded more than 20 hours of dedicated work, showcasing our team’s commitment to delivering quality service even during challenging situations.
Toyota Supra’s Road Force Balance at Reading Location
At our Reading location, our center manager Chris welcomed his friend Logan with his impressive 2021 Toyota Supra. The reason for the visit was to avail of our road force balance service, something that only a few shops offer. The Toyota Supra’s performance demands precision, and we were thrilled to provide a service that ensures a smooth and comfortable ride.
Summer of Memories: Myles of Memories – 90s Road Trip Edition
At both our Birdsboro and Reading locations, we kicked off our Myles of Memories: 90s Road Trip Edition theme in style. Our teambuilding event started with a retro movie night featuring the classic film “Back to the Future.” We extended the invite to our families, making it a joyous affair filled with cornhole, pizza, popcorn, and, of course, the delightful presence of adorable kids. Memories of the past filled the air, and we couldn’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie and community.
To amplify our online customer interactions, we are engaging our virtual audience with 90s and automotive-themed trivia posts on Facebook and Instagram. It’s all about cherishing the past and creating new memories this summer!
